What is fall-prevention therapy?

Feeling unsteady can be scary. Fall prevention therapy includes strength training, balance exercises, environmental modifications, safety education, and strategies to improve mobility and coordination.
Our goal: to provide personalized care to keep you on your feet.

Who can benefit and how?

Fall prevention therapy can help:

  • Older adults at higher risk due to age-related changes
  • Individuals with chronic conditions, such as arthritis or Parkinson's disease
  • Patients recovering from surgery, especially hip or knee surgeries
  • Those with balance or mobility issues, including stroke survivors
  • People with vision impairments, affecting spatial awareness

Our fall-prevention specialists work closely with you to build strength and increase your confidence. We help improve your independence and your ability to take part in the activities you love.

Why 果冻视频?

Our team provides specialized care designed to help prevent falls by building strength and balance. Our physical and occupational therapy specialists work together to keep you safe. To do so, we create personalized exercise plans for your independence and support all aspects of your life, from physical health to home safety.

Service and treatments

We offer education to reduce your risk of falling and help you feel more confident. Our 12-month 果冻视频 Awareness for Falls Education program (S.A.F.E.) includes personalized exercises to improve your balance, endurance, flexibility and strength.

Our certified physical therapists will check your progress and modify your program along the way to help you get stronger.

We create specific exercises designed to improve your balance and gait (how you walk). Our specialists work with you at one of our 果冻视频 therapy centers and teach you balance exercises to do at home.
If you have trouble balancing because of pain or stiffness, we may send you to our orthopedic rehabilitation experts. Orthopedic care helps with balance issues due to joint replacement, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

Our specialists design treatments to help you manage age-related balance issues, which can change due to cognitive shifts, inner ear problems, declines in muscle strength, nerve issues and vision changes.

We also recommend home safety tips to reduce fall risks, such as installing sensor lights, securing handrails and managing rugs and cords.
